Diamond Cut is the third book in The Glass Complex trilogy.
Steg de Coeur, his friends, and the mercenary Ebony Company are collected by a superdreadnought sent by the Glass Complex. Xesset are threatening a major attack on the Western Star Empire, the Alliance, and a number of free, unaligned systems, including Djii. Homeworld and Djii have formed a naval task force to defend their planets from this threatened alien attack, and the Glass Complex has created high-level AIs to manage the flagship of the new fleet.
Steg rescues his friend Denke from an ImpSec takeover and captures his old enemy, Marius of the House of Aluta. Denke joins Steg to make overtures to the Emperor where they are attacked by ImpSec. They succeed in escaping and make their way to the headquarters of the Alliance government where they also persuade the military to support their task force.
Battles with Xesset starships threaten their AIs. Steg has the fleet he needs to counter-attack the Xesset. This battle and subsequent events - including another duel - bring the trilogy to a close.

Diamond Cut Book Three in The Glass Complex Trilogy eBook John Hindmarsh Reviews
good reading
Before you read this one, please note it is the third book of a series if you haven’t read the first two books, the characters and events will not make much sense to you.
The author picked up the tale right where he left off with the cliffhanger ending of book two, and without having a spoiler the ending was a bit anticlimactic and too tie-the-bow neat considering the buildup of the first two books. The ending has two possible scenarios it could be the end of the trilogy or set the stage for a continuation. Regardless of my comments on the ending above, I did enjoy the series and if it is continued I will go along for the ride to see where the author’s imagination takes us.
Good series
It was almost impossible to put these well written books down. An intriguing story line and outstanding characters developed by believable situations. Wow!
John has completed a fantastic story of adventure and the characters are believeable and enjoyable. Overall, the adventures complete a great story with the possibility for more in the future. Well done John.
An engrossing story! Military science fiction revolving around a unique computerized perspective. Interesting characters. I would recommend that you read the first book "Broken Glass" and its sequel before reading this book otherwise you will be lost as to what has happened in previous books which affects the outcome in this one.
Diamond Cut (Glass Complex Trilogy #3) by John Hindmarsh
A great finish to the series! I completely enjoyed reading this last installment of the trilogy. The writing was clean and the timing well paced. The characters drove the plot, and were more dimensional than before. The action was clean, and well done.
So go read it!
I have enjoyed this trilogy. I will continue to read this author's work. It's an interesting theme. I have also read the Mark Midway series and have enjoyed them as well.
